What Not to Say About Pregnancy and Babies

Don’t say: “Are you pregnant?”
Why: You ask, she’s not, and you feel totally embarrassed for essentially pointing out that she’s overweight.
Instead say: “Hello” or “Great to see you” or “You look great.” Anything besides “Are you pregnant?” or “What’s the due date?” will do. Save yourself the humiliation and never ask.

Don’t say: “Do you plan on breast-feeding?”
Why: The issue can be controversial, and she may not want to discuss her decision publicly.
Instead say: Nothing. Unless you’re very close, don’t ask. If you slip, make up for the blunder by adding, “And do you feel comfortable telling me?”

Don’t say: “Were your twins natural?” or “It must have been hard for your child’s birth parent to give him up.”
Why: You’re suggesting that natural conception is better than in vitro fertilization (IVF) or adoption.
Instead say: To a parent of multiples, try a light “Wow, you have your hands full!” To an adoptive parent, say the same stuff you would to any other parent: “She’s adorable!” or “How old is he?”

What Not to Say to a Single (or Newly Single) Person

Don’t say: “You were too good for him.”
Why: You are basically saying she has bad taste. And you’ll be embarrassed if they ever patch it up.
Instead say: “His loss!” It gets the same point across without disparaging her judgment.

Don’t say: “I’m glad you got rid of him. I never liked him anyway.”
Why: She’ll wonder about your fake adoration for him while they were together.
Instead say: “I’m confident you’ll find someone who will give you exactly what you want.” It focuses on what’s to come, not on the dud you’re glad she’s done with.

Don’t say: “How could someone as perfect as you still be single?”
Why: A statement like this comes off as a backhanded compliment. What she hears is “What’s wrong with you?”
Instead say: “Seeing anyone?” If she’s tight-lipped about her love life, move on to other topics.

What Not to Say During a Fight with Your Beloved

Don’t say: “You always” or “You never” or “You’re a [slob, jerk]” or “You’re wrong.”

Why: Speaking in absolutes like “you always” and “you’re wrong” is playing the blame game, and resorting to name calling makes your partner feel helpless, which puts him on the defensive and makes a bad fight worse.
Instead say: “I’m upset that you left the dishes in the sink again. What can we do so that this stops happening?” Starting with the pronoun I puts the focus on how you feel, not why he’s in the doghouse, and it will make him more receptive to fixing the problem.

Don’t say: “If you really loved me, you would...”

Why: The more you treat your partner as if he’ll never satisfy you, the less satisfied you’ll be. Controlling your partner by imploring him to do something isn’t a good way to build intimacy.
Instead say: “I feel taken for granted when you don’t help around the house. I would feel better if we could…” The best way to keep a productive fight from becoming a dirty one is to be clear about why you’re upset and then offer a solution.

What Does a Woman Want

Sometimes… a woman just wants to be hugged tightly by her man… to know that she’s cared for… that those arms will protect her from the unkind world… that she will never be left alone…

Sometimes… a woman just wants a simple smile on her man’s face… reassuring her that life isn’t that bad… that mistakes do happen but they will fade with time… that no matter what she does he’ll still love her…

Sometimes… a woman just wants a pat on the back from her man… to know that she has done well… that she has lived up to his expectations… that she is not a weakling but someone with profound strength… that he believes in her and is proud of her…

Sometimes… a woman just wants a sweet peck on the cheek from her man… to tell her how special she is and will always be… to show togetherness in the walk of life... and to make her realize that he will always support her….

Sometimes… a woman just wants to look straight into the eyes of her man… and see love, pure love… and nothing else… see her reflection in his eyes… and know that they may be two bodies… but they are united as one soul!

That’s all a woman wants… to be protected, reassured, appreciated, supported, cared for… and most of all… to be loved, like no one else!!!!

You are beautiful

It is a shame when women go out of their way to find fault with themselves. Most women are insecure with no good reason.

More often than not, a woman's physical appearance plays a major role in affecting her confidence. It is amazing when you think about all the reasons women get so insecure. Someone has a paunch, someone has a few pimples, someone has a bad nose, someone has bad hair. Someone's breasts are too big, and someone's are too small. Someone is too fat, and someone is too thin.

Not all overweight women are insecure. In fact, many love their bodies just the way they are, but there are many who are insecure for this reason. Similarly, a bad complexion does not bother Latha, but Mary's pimples are causing her to lose all her self-esteem.

Stop for a moment and think about your looks. Your looks essentially are all about how you look to another person, so look at yourself through someone else's eyes. Think back to some other people you know, and figure out what would they be insecure about. You will discover you got it all wrong. You may wonder what Sarita has to be insecure about. If you must hazard a guess, you'd say she's not too happy with her curly hair. And then you discover she hates her nose. Her nose What's wrong with that?

Others don't notice it!

Very often you will find that what upsets you the most about your looks is something that other people don't even notice. And if they do, they pay little attention to it. When conversing with Ravi, you may notice that he has a few pimples on his face, but within a few minutes of interesting conversation you forget all that and start noticing his nice smile, his great sense of humour or, if you are observant, his long eyelashes!

It is a shame when women go out of their way to find fault with themselves. True, certain severe things may cause you to be troubled, but most women are insecure with no good reason.

Observe your behaviour at a get-together. Your eyes will be drawn towards good-looking people first. So, give your positive features importance, and enhance them with makeup. Draw attention to your beautiful eyes or lips, and no one's going to notice your large hips, your fat fingers, or whatever you are insecure about.

No one is perfect

If you are overweight, people that are slim may catch your eye, but a slim person may not even notice who is overweight or not she may be more into observing people's noses, because she thinks she has a bad one. While you envy her her figure, she may envy you your lovely perky nose.

Remember this

No one notices much about others, unless they are very, very beautiful or very, very ugly. 90 percent of the people fall in between and spend most of their time worrying about little things that impact no one.

Something may trouble you today, and when it's mended, you will find something else to be insecure about. It's like getting a new job. When you get one, you're the happiest person, for around a month. After that you start noticing the politics, your bad boss, the bad working hours, and start dreaming about another, better job. The difference is that moving on to a better job is constructive, but feeling insecure because of your little flaws is destructive. Often, it is these flaws that enhance your sex appeal and add to your personality and character, so tell yourself that you wouldn't change them for the world. Accept them, and love yourself

Add Art to Your Home (Home Decoration)

There are many ways to stretch a budget when it comes to decorating a home, and one of the easiest may be to create your own budget artwork.

If your finances have been blown on a move, wedding, furniture, or other necessities, you may be looking at bare walls and no money to decorate them.

You'll have to get creative and find or make some of your own budget artwork. How should you begin this project?
If you already know what style of decorating you like, you're in luck. It will make it much easier to select subjects, colors, mats, and frames for your art. If you're unsure or have an "eclectic" style (sometimes also known as a hodgepodge) you'll have to choose as you go along.

Floral artwork in carved, light-colored frames fit in with a cottage style. Black and white photos framed in simple metal work well in a contemporary setting. Country themes, weathered wood, antique or old fabrics go well in a country style home. Landscapes, botanical prints, and floral still life pictures fit into a traditional interior.

If you're ready to save some money and get something attractive up on your bare walls, read here for some creative ways to find artwork at budget prices, or no cost at all!

* Frame What's Free
I get at least 5 calendars from companies at the end of every year. Many of the images presented are beautiful. Other sources of free art are creative menus, pretty party invitations, a puzzle you've put together, a collage of postcards from a trip, a diploma that you're proud of, or a patriotic or decorative flag. Pieces that are just decorative can be put directy into a frame off the shelf. Pieces that are more special should be mounted on acid-free mat board before framing.

* Items from Mother Nature
You can mount any number of natural items in a standard frame or a shadowbox style. A beautiful arrangement at little or no cost can be made of pressed flowers or leaves, shells you've collected on a trip to the shore, interesting pods and seeds, pine cones, dried flowers, or even a freeze-dried corsage. Mount heavy items to a mat board using hot glue. White glue or a spray adhesive will work for lighter items.

* Use Your Camera
Amateur photographers can capture the most interesting images. But if you're not feeling secure, ask a friend to take some pictures of flowers, houses, interesting buildings, sports equipment, or pretty settings. You can see that the possibilities are endless! Take the camera disk to a copy store and have the images printed in either black and white or color. Have the images enlarged to fit the space you have. For a series of photos, frame them in simple, identical frames, with coordinating mats. Be sure to shop around for frames. You'll be more likely to work within your budget if you select standard size frames. When assembled, the photos can be grouped on a large wall, hung along a hallway, or placed on shelves in a bookcase.

* Check Out Your Personal Library or Go to a Bookstore
I know this may sound shocking to some of you who were taught to never deface a book, but you can find wonderful photos of famous paintings in large books. Subjects could be birds, furniture design, architectural structures, Impressionist era art, landscapes, quilts, and trains. Select pictures that will coordinate with your decorating scheme. You can find books with beautiful illustrations at garage sales, used book stores, or neighborhood library sales.

* Hang It Up
Hang items directly on the wall. Beautiful plates are a natural, either in a vertical arrangement or randomly around a wall. Garage sales and flea markets offer lots of beautiful or interesting options for dishes, tableware, and other household items that can adorn a wall. Other choices might be flags, hats, model airplanes, pages of music, musical instruments, or toys.

* Creative Crafts
If you do needlework, draw, make model airplanes, or have a collection of small items, they make a wonderful piece of art. Be sure you have the pieces mounted carefully and do not damage them when you frame them. This will provide a great way to display things that mean a lot to you and to show off your talents.
When your budget is overloaded and your walls are bare, what can you do? There are lots of ways to use your own creativity to adorn your walls.

These ideas for free, and almost free, artwork will help you create your own custom wall decorations.
* Botanicals
With a bouquet of beautiful pressed flowers or just one blossom and a few leaves, you can make your own botanical print. Also try a beautiful fern frond or some colorful fall leaves. Mount the pieces on a white or colored mat board, cut to the size of your frame. Either hand write or stencil the botanical name of the item somewhere on the matboard. It will look very professional. If your pieces are very flat, you might float them between two pieces of glass. Bulky or thick-stemmed pieces can be mounted in a shadow box frame.

* Create Color Copies
If you're not up to drying or pressing flowers or leaves, try copying them on a color or black and white copier. Place the pieces on a piece of white or colored mat board or cardboard, secure the pieces in place, and make a copy. You can make it any size that the copier can accommodate. Keep in mind that items with a heavy stem or thick texture will cast a shadow, so flat items work best.

* Frame a Game
A fun idea for a family room or child's room is to frame the game board of a favorite game (or collection of games). Glue the open game board to a rigid piece of cardboard, glue some game pieces and dice around the board, add game rules and playing cards. When everything is attached securely, place the piece in a shadow box custom-cut to the size of the board.

* Shadowboxes
Any special collection can be displayed in a shadowbox frame, which can be purchased at frame or craft stores. Gather together items from a special occasion, such as a wedding or vacation, or items from a hobby or craft. Arrange the pieces on a piece of mat board or cardboard and secure them carefully. Then place the board into the shadow box frame.

* Create a Collage
Select photographs, buttons, pieces of fabric, ribbons, small toys, keys, magazine pictues, menus, or greeting cards to create a collage. You can see that the list could go on forever! Coordinate a theme, color, or design to create a collage that you can frame. You can make one large collage and some smaller ones to create an interesting arrangement on your wall.

You can see that there are countless ways to create artwork for your home. Look around you, both at home or when you're out. You're sure to see something wonderful that will be able to decorate your walls. Try to "think outside the frame!"

A Clear Complexion Made Easy

Getting clear skin is a simple matter of paying attention to your daily habits.

First of all, beauty works from the inside out.

Make it your mission to eat as well balanced a diet as possible and take a multi vitamin every day.

While diet has never been shown to have a direct affect on having clear skin or as acne prevention, it is widely known that diet does promote general health and

is very likely to play a role in good or clear skin.

It is important and recommended that you consume at least 4-5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day.

This will help you have clear skin. Certain vitamins such as A, C and E are classified as antioxidants and are also cancer fighters.

Get as much sleep as possible (eight to nine hours is the optimum) because it will do your skin and body a world of good.

Clear skin needs to be well rested so if you cannot get enough sleep at night, try to have a catnap sometime during the day. Even a ten to fifteen minute nap is advisable if that is all the time you can spare.

Adequate hydration promotes clear skin. If you want to keep or improve your complexion, drink at least 6-8 eight-ounce glasses a day (more if you're really a go getter!). Clearer skin, here you come!

Any form of aerobic exercise done at least 20-30 minutes per day will get your blood flowing and help keep your skin as clear as possible. And excercise will play a direct role in the levels of stress in your body. Stress is known to have a "bad" affect on general health, clear skin and acne.

Just remember that sweat and oil accumulate faster with exercise so shower directly after your exercise regimen to retain clear, unblemished skin.

How else can you get clear skin?

Well for another thing, makeup is for daytime and evening wear not for bedtime.
Cosmetics left on the face can clog up pores with dirt and debris.

This can lead to problems such as acne or folliculitis.

Your best bet is to take it off with a mild soap free cleanser before you turn in for the night.
